Mit ihrem achten Studioalbum "Sceneries" meldet sich die Hamburger Progressive Rock-Band Sylvan eindrucksvoll zurück und liefert gleichzeitig ihr bislang längstes und persönlichstes Werk ab. Über zwei CDs erstreckt sich das in fünf Kapitel unterteilte, konzeptionell angelegte Album über die Höhen und Tiefen des Lebens und das menschliche Streben nach Glück. Seit über einem Jahrzehnt im Geschäft, ist Sylvan eine der wenigen deutschen Progrock-Bands, die auch international Erfolge feiern kann. So tourte die Band durch halb Europa, spielte Konzerte in den USA und Mexiko und schuf mit Alben wie "Artificial Paradise" (2002) der "Posthumous Silence" (2006) echte Klassiker des Progressive Rock.
